Tony Briggs joined Peterson | Moore, LLC in the fall of 2012 as the Vice President of Executive Recruiting. Briggs is responsible for overseeing the process of obtaining new clients for the Company and obtaining qualified candidates for ongoing searches, for all of Peterson | Moore´s clients. The firm focuses on the placement of IT executives in the US and Europe and providing interim, executive IT leadership. Briggs is a senior IT and Business executive with substantial leadership experience.

Prior to joining Peterson | Moore, Briggs was Vice President of IT Global Solution Delivery at Payless ShoeSource/Collective Brands, Inc., in Topeka, KS for nearly six years. In this role, Briggs was responsible for strategic planning, capability roadmaps, delivery of over 200 projects and the support of the company´s global enterprise software applications for areas including: warehouse management, supply chain and distribution, merchandising, pricing optimization, point–of–sale and store systems, several branded e–Commerce sites, franchising, marketing, CRM, loyalty, human resources, procurement, real estate & leasing, back office systems, data warehouse and business intelligence, middleware & integration, and financial applications.

Before joining Payless ShoeSource/Collective Brands, Inc., Briggs was with Best Buy for seven years in various roles, reporting directly to the Enterprise CIO for about three of those years. Jobs and responsibilities included Sr. Director over Infrastructure, Security and Operations, as well as HR and Finance; Sr. Director over holiday operational readiness, and Sarbanes–Oxley successful compliance. Briggs was responsible for the delivery and support of dozens of IT projects for marketing, advertising, merchandising, planning, inventory and supply chain during his first three years there.

Prior to Best Buy, Briggs started his own consulting firm that he operated successfully for eight years, Star–Tel Enterprises, Inc. His work included critical path method scheduling for construction firms on government contracts, management consulting, project and program management, and custom software application development. His clients included many firms in the Retail, Marketing, Insurance, Medical, Manufacturing, Construction, and Engineering industries ranging in size from small single-owner firms up to and including the Fortune 50.

Briggs was an Army Infantry Officer and served in the Pacific as a Platoon Leader, Battalion Logistics Platoon Leader, and Battalion Air Operations officer. He completed several Army schools with honors, and was awarded Army Commendation and Achievement medals.

Briggs was on the Payless Foundation Committee from 2007–2011. In January 2006, he was named by Chain Store Age Magazine as one of the Rising Stars Top 40 under 40 Retail Executives. He was a member of the RILA Technology Leader´s Circle for three years and on the Board of Advisors for the CIO & Logistics Forum for two years. He is a published author of several textbooks and IT professional manuals. Briggs graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a BS in general engineering and a field of study in German language.
