In early 2008, Robert Peterson founded the Peterson Resource Group (PRG), LLC., an executive search firm focusing on IT and Finance disciplines. Client searches have included virtually all of the US, Western and Central Europe, Asia and Latin America. Earlier this year, the Peterson Resource Group, became a 50% Partner in Peterson | Moore, LLC, a senior level Executive Search team focusing on senior level IT roles. The other Partner in Peterson | Moore, John Moore, is a senior IT and Business executive with substantial leadership experience.

Prior to buying PRG, LLC., Peterson was Senior Vice President, Global IT Solutions for Cadbury Schweppes (Now Cadbury, plc), then the world's largest confectionery company with IT and business operations around the world. Responsibilities included overall responsibility for global program and project management; applications development and support, IT infrastructure; IT governance and compliance; outsourcing/offshore, PMO and CMMi and ITIL as well as IT Procurement.

Peterson was also Vice President, Americas International and Corporate Systems, for Dell Computer Corporation. This included overseeing all IT operations in the region as well as corporate systems and some program delivery responsibility across Europe and Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining Dell, Peterson was Senior VP & CIO for OfficeMax, an $8 billion retailer with more than 1,000 stores including (at the time), US, Asia and Latin America. As a member of the Executive Committee, Peterson had overall responsibility for all aspects of IT throughout the world and was very involved in a number of global supply chain projects as well. While at OfficeMax, Peterson was Chairman of SAP's Retail Advisory Board.

For approximately three years prior to joining OfficeMax, Peterson was one of the founders of a technology startup company, Starguide Digital Networks, that developed hardware and software, primarily for the broadcast industry. Clients included CBS, ABC, Westwood One and numerous other well known and lesser know broadcasters, as well as non broadcast companies that used the technology for satellite distribution of data. The products developed by Starguide, who also owned numerous patents on these products, reduced costs significantly for broadcasters and other clients. Peterson was President of Musican Express, as joint venture between Starguide Digital Networks and CBS/Westwood One. Starguide and Musican Express were sold, at which time, Peterson accepted the SVP/CIO role at OfficeMax.

Prior to Starguide Digital Networks, Peterson was Vice President and CIO for Packard Bell Electronics, then the world's largest PC manufacturer. Packard Bell had IT operations in the US, Asia and Europe. Peterson had overall global responsibility for all IT operations in the organizations and also worked closely with various partner companies including France's Group Bull, Zenith Data Systems and NEC.

After College, Peterson spent 12 years at the Gannett Corporation, the parent company of USA Today and 100+ daily newspapers throughout the country, as well as (at that time) dozens of television and radio stations and the largest outdoor advertising company in America. After joining Gannett as a software developer, Peterson became project manager, Manager of Field Support, responsible for supporting IT operations at Gannett properties, then IT Director, then VP of IT for the Outdoor Advertising Division.

Peterson has a degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Nevada.
